WAREHOUSE DELIVERY DRIVER

Overall Job Duties:

Under direct supervision of the General Manager, the Warehouse Technician/Driver must demonstrate excellent leadership, communication, critical thinking, organizational and problem-solving skills, and have the knowledge and foresight for advancement to future processes. The incumbent must be able to work independently and follow written and verbal directives as required. The Warehouse Technician will manage a variety of daily operations at the facility; specifically, the warehouse, buildings, and grounds.

The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of visitors/employees to the office complex and warehouse by ensuring the outside/inside of the complex are maintained according to company standards and any/all chemicals or hazardous materials are maintained/stored/used appropriately. The incumbent will for all aspects of property maintenance, inventory and upgrades, and alarm. When needed, the incumbent will either personally perform or schedule repairs.

The incumbent will need to deliver job materials or equipment as needed; therefore, the incumbent must possess a valid Class E driver license (or preferably a CDL) and have a clean driving record.

Duties and responsibilities - Warehouse Technician/Driver

The incumbent must have the knowledge and foresight for advancement to future processes. Through self-motivation, the incumbent should be able to work independently and be able to follow written and verbal directives as required and seek ways to improve any/all aspects of the facility and property. The incumbent will manage diverse daily operations of the facility, specifically, the warehouse, buildings, and grounds.

The incumbent is responsible for performing the duties of a delivery driver, i.e. delivering material or equipment to the designated location.

Warehouse Operations

The incumbent will manage the daily operations of the warehouse to include ordering, receiving, recording and replenishing stock levels. Pick/Pull inventory for projects and accurately schedule material deliveries/returns.

Onsight Safety and Security

The Warehouse Technician/Driver will be responsible for the ensuring the safety and security of the warehouse and office complex. The Warehouse Technician must be able to identify potential hazards and take appropriate action to secure the area. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the outside/inside of the complex are maintained according to company guidelines and any/all chemicals or hazardous materials are maintained/stored/used according to standards/directives issued by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), U.S. Occupational and Health Administration (OSHA) and U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) standards.

Facility Maintenance

The Warehouse Technician/Driver is responsible for ensuring the complex grounds are kept neat and clean to include regular/routine maintenance; mowing of the grass, trimming hedges as needed, blowing off/sweeping parking lot remove encroaching vines and weeds from fence lines. The incumbent will ensure the facility's main office entrance and sidewalks will be pressure-washed twice a year; May and December and will make minor repairs as needed to mailbox, gates and fences as needed.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

The Warehouse Technician/Driver must be flexible and willing to perform physical labor as needed. Additional duties may be assigned to the Warehouse Technician as needed.

Working conditions:

Must be able to adapt to working either indoors or outdoors and in varying weather conditions and temperatures. Must be able to work overtime/outside regular schedule if needed.

Physical requirements

Must be dependable, able to sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, push, pull and carry items as needed. Must be able to walk on uneven ground and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and work boots as required on jobsites. Must be able to crawl in tight spaces as needed to perform any maintenance. Must be able to safely operate and demonstrate use of various hand tools and operate equipment such as a forklift.

Direct reports

The Warehouse Technician/Driver reports to the General Manager. The Warehouse Technician may supervise other individuals as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be dependable and able to work 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a clean driving record and possess a valid Class E license (preferably a CDL).
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening test and agree to comply with all company policies including the company's drug-free workplace policy.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and able to push/pull up to 75 pounds.
• Must have excellent communication skills and able to follow written and verbal directives.
• Must be able to operate basic hand tools, manual, electrical, and gas-operated to include lawn equipment and pressure washers.
• Must have verifiable experience working in a warehouse.
