Warehouse Dispatcher / Shipping Coordinator

TMD Staffing is hiring in McAllen, Tx for a Warehouse Dispatcher / Shipping Coordinator for a customer that deals with delivery of dry goods and materials.  The right candidate will be looking for a full-time position that can transition to permanent once the required hours are met.  We are in search of a Key Player that has 2 + years of experience dispatching, shipping, or logistics, preferably within a printing, packaging, or high-volume distribution environment. Preferable that our candidate has experience with third-party carriers and parcel carriers.  Bilingual in English and Spanish is a must.  We are searching for a dependable person that can commit to a long term role with our company.  If you meet these qualifications, please submit your resume to us.  Hablamos Espanol. 

Key Responsibilities

• Delivery and pickup scheduling/coordination
• Must be able to review Bills of Lading (BOL)
• Must know how to track real-time inventory and close out shipping orders
• Will be overseeing loading dock flow to prevent bottlenecks and ensure drivers adhere to scheduled appointment windows
• Will be verifying that shipping labels and packaging meet company standards and specific client branding requirements
• Will need to adhere to company's safety protocol and abide to OSHA regulations within the warehouse environment

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience - 2 years + in dispatching, shipping or logistics
• Technical Skills - Proficient in Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and intermediate Microsoft Excel and data entry
• Attention to Detail - Critical ability to detect errors in SKU numbers or shipping addresses
• Communication - Professional ability to interact with internal stakeholders and external partners (Bilingual a must)
• Adaptability - Ability to meet the demands in a fast-paced manufacturing/warehouse settings and be able to shift priority on demand

Physical Requirements

• Walk/Stand for extended periods
• Be able to lift and move 50 lbs.
• Tolerate moderate noise levels in a typical productive and printing environment

Shift

• Monday to Friday, 8AM to 5PM (flexibility to work overtime and adapt to constant delays in freights)

Compensation

• $18.50 / HR - Weekly Pay - Electronic Deposit
