ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES:
• Responsible for training the associates and verifying they follow and understand the S.O.P.S and GMPS
• Responsible for assisting the production department.
• Responsible for communicating with the supervisor as well as with other department associates.
• Ensuring the completion of the master program sanitation.
• Ensuring that associates comply with the tasks assigned.
• Ensuring that the program (books) of the department are completed correctly
• Labels cleaned equipment with identification that indicates the equipment is clean and the expiration of the clean status
• Manage the department in the absence of the supervisor and/or manager
• Complies with company policies and procedures and maintains regular work attendance
• Personal responsibility for following safety rules, SOPs and/or cGMP guidelines
• Performs other duties as assigned NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES: Approx. 10% of Time Assists colleagues in their tasks as required As necessary, performs other related functions of which the above are representative.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: A minimum of two years work experience in a packaging line setting; hands-on experience as a Line runner or Lead in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated combination of experience and leadership skills coupled with initiative and desire to work in a dynamic work environment with multiple demands.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Must have Basic Math skills; must be have excellent communication skills (verbal and written), preferably Bilingual in English and Spanish (or at least a working knowledge of Spanish); must have the ability to lead and guide the group in a participative, yet decisive manner; must be team-oriented and willing to work collaboratively with supervisor in identifying and implementing effective workplace programs and solutions, must be poised, confident and capable of interacting effectively with supervisor and other support group; must be detail-oriented with a hands-on approach to monitoring
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Light level of physical effort required for a variety of physical activities to include walking and standing at a workstation. Significant level of mental / visual effort required in order to assure accuracy of information entered on all documents. Ability to see the letters and numbers on paper documents (near vision). Ability to talk to and hear persons contacted on the job.
