By joining our team, you will contribute to producing and delivering every form of salt that enhances everyday life.Job SummaryPerforms all activities, duties and responsibilities associated with warehousing to include shipping and receiving of finished goods, reworking damaged products, operating mobile equipment, and the use of electronic barcode scanners. Must be able to communicate and understand oral and written English instructions with general math abilities.Duties and Responsibilities* Perform all warehousing work in a safe and efficient manner. This includes complying with all Health and Safety programs, policies and procedures established by State/Federal Law, Corporate directives and/or the Cincinnati Facility.* Hold the safety of oneself and others, be it Morton Salt employees, contractors and visitors, in the highest regard* Operate all mobile material-handling equipment per the manufacturer's specifications, OSHA regulations and Company policies. (These include forklifts, front-end loader, electric and manual pallet jacks.)* Operate bag-filling and sealing equipment in a safe and efficient manner while producing a finished packaged product.* Ensure bag weights are correct, date and lot code are present on produced product.* Palletize, stretch-wrap, and label product being produced in a safe and efficient manner.* Operate all bulk-loading equipment and conveying systems (Bulk Rock, K-Mix, etc.) to load pneumatic and open style trucks when needed.* Exercise good warehousing practices for both bulk and packaged products to maximize storage availability.* Assist with minor maintenance activities when required or requested.* Actively engage in good housekeeping and cleanup activities as part of everyday job performance and to include buildings, floors, property and equipment.* Perform any other miscellaneous and reasonable duties and functions assigned or directed by the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager.* Maintain Quality records.* Perform inspections of incoming, outgoing bulk and packaged trucks/trailers when needed.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities* High School Diploma or GED* Follow both verbal and written instructions* Operation of a variety of production equipment* Communication and the inter-personal skills necessary to interact with co-workers, supervisors, truck drivers and customers sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction* Knowledge of Safety rules and regulations* Certified Forklift Operator or ability to certify within 30 days.* Front end loader experience a plus.* Ability to lift 50lbs frequently.* You must have reliable transportation to and from work.At Morton Salt, we work best when we work as a team, when we treat one another with dignity and respect, and value the unique contributions of others.
