SURESTAFF is immediately hiring General Warehouse Associates (Shipping & Receiving) for a leading manufacturing company in Burleson, TX. The General Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations through shipping, receiving, inventory management, material handling, and general production support. The ideal candidate will have warehouse experience, shipping and receiving knowledge, forklift experience, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation of $18.00 per hour as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).Available Shift:
  • 1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM
General Warehouse Associate (Shipping & Receiving) Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform general labor to support production teams with fabrication, welding, painting, and assembly operations.
  • Use overhead cranes and lifting equipment to stage large materials for production.
  • Prepare products for painting by power washing, taping, and masking components as instructed.
  • Assemble equipment and components using power tools such as drills and impact drivers.
  • Set up and maintain clean, organized workstations to ensure efficient production.
  • Stage parts and materials in designated storage locations for fabrication and assembly.
  • Assist with cycle counts and inventory verification to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Operate company vehicles to pick up parts and materials as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, including worktables, storage cabinets, floors, and production areas.
  • Organize materials, components, and finished goods throughout the facility.
  • Process customer orders by responding to shipping requests, pulling inventory, and confirming emailed orders professionally.
  • Follow all company shipping, receiving, and safety procedures.
  • Load and unload trucks and trailers using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, dollies, and manlifts to move and store inventory.
  • Process shipping and receiving documentation accurately for inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Verify incoming and outgoing shipments by confirming product quantities and inspecting for discrepancies.
  • Prepare customer orders for pickup or shipment via UPS, FedEx, LTL freight, or truckload carriers.
  • Stock and replenish inventory in assigned warehouse locations.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving shipping, receiving, and inventory discrepancies.
  • Utilize spreadsheets and ERP systems to verify inventory levels, locations, quantities, and transaction history.
  • Perform daily inspections and safely operate material handling equipment.
  • Complete additional warehouse and production duties as assigned.
General Warehouse Associate (Shipping & Receiving) Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Previous warehouse experience required, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Shipping and receiving experience required.
  • Forklift experience required; forklift certification is a plus.
  • Experience operating pallet jacks, dollies, and other material handling equipment.
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to use spreadsheets and ERP systems.
  • Ability to accurately complete shipping and receiving paperwork.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform repetitive physical tasks.
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, and walk throughout the shift.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Must maintain dependable attendance and follow all safety procedures.
Education:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial warehouse.
  • Experience with inventory control and cycle counting.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and warehouse management software.
  • Experience using overhead cranes or lifting equipment.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.
