The Warehouse Import/Export Specialist is responsible for supporting international shipping operations by coordinating transportation, preparing export documentation, and ensuring accurate shipment invoicing. This role assists with the movement of goods through the export process while maintaining compliance with company procedures and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Schedule: 2pm - 10pm
Pay rate: $19 - $ 20
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibility of this position is to create export shipments in accordance with Client work instructions.
Scheduling air and ocean pick up requests with trucking companies and freight forwarders to ensure flow of goods from origin to point of export.
Monitor shipment activity and assist in resolving transportation issues, including damaged, short, missing, or overage shipments.
Identifying and resolving issues arising during the shipping process.
Completing post shipment tasks: such as emailing pre-alerts to Clients, scanning photos, creating ITNs for tracking purposes, and updating system with shipment details
Responding to customer service requests via email and phone in a professional and timely manner.
Creating month end reports
Shipping International Hazmat
Complete post-shipment activities, including:
Sending shipment pre-alerts to customers and dealers.
Updating shipment tracking spreadsheets and databases.
Entering sailing and flight information into AS400.
Updating SAP shipping records and pick lists.
Obtaining, reviewing, and filing proof of export documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS
Associates degree and 1+ year work experience in a distribution environment or High School diploma (or GED) and 3 + years work experience in logistics
Exceptional communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
Understands warehouse management systems and processes.
Experience with SAP, AS400.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Attention to detail with strong data-entry accuracy.

Physical Requirements
Work is primarily sedentary and performed in an office or warehouse support environment.
Regular use of a computer and telephone.
Occasional walking, standing, bending, and reaching.
Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 15 pounds.
Ability to visually review shipping documents and data for accuracy.
