Warehouse, Shipping & Inventory Associate
Job Summary
We are seeking dependable and motivated individuals for warehouse and material-handling opportunities involving shipping and receiving, parts and inventory, order fulfillment, forklift operation, and general warehouse/yard work.
Responsibilities may vary depending on the specific position and work area. Candidates do not need experience in every function. Individuals with backgrounds in shipping/receiving, inventory, parts, order picking, material handling, forklift operation, or general warehouse work are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
Depending on the position, responsibilities may include:
- Pick, pull, stage, and prepare customer orders
- Receive incoming materials and verify shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, or invoices
- Prepare outgoing customer and vendor shipments accurately and on time
- Package and label products to help prevent damage during shipment
- Process UPS, LTL, local delivery, and other outbound shipments
- Load and unload trucks and deliveries
- Put away incoming stock and maintain organized inventory locations
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts or physical inventory
- Update computer systems with shipping, receiving, and inventory activity
- Locate and pull parts, products, and materials for customer orders or internal use
- Coordinate carrier pickups and outgoing shipments
- Operate sit-down forklifts and other material-handling equipment as needed
- Move, stage, and organize materials throughout warehouse and yard areas
- Verify outgoing orders for accuracy
- Identify and report damaged materials, shortages, or inventory discrepancies
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse, shipping, inventory, and yard areas
- Perform general warehouse, cleanup, and material-handling duties
- Assist with basic facility or building maintenance as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, shipping/receiving, inventory, parts, material-handling, or similar environment preferred
- Forklift experience preferred for positions requiring equipment operation
- Ability and willingness to learn forklift operation and follow company safety procedures
- Experience picking and preparing customer orders is a plus
- Basic computer and data-entry skills
- Ability to read shipping documents, purchase orders, packing slips, and basic work instructions
- Ability to perform basic math
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Dependable, punctual, and reliable attendance
- Coachable and willing to learn new responsibilities
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license may be required depending on the position
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to regularly perform physical warehouse and material-handling work
- Ability to lift approximately 50–70 lbs., depending on the position
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, and move materials throughout the workday
- Comfortable working in warehouse environments that may not be climate controlled
- Some positions may require significant outdoor/yard work in varying weather conditions
- Ability to safely use team lifting or material-handling equipment for heavier items
Position Details
Schedule: Primarily Monday–Friday, daytime/1st-shift opportunities
Pay: Approximately $17.00–$21.00/hour depending on the specific position, experience, and qualifications
Employment Type: Full-Time / Temp-to-Hire
