Overview:

Position Summary:

Responsible for inventory accuracy and management of all warehouse functions.  Key accountability is for timely and accurate receipt and put-away of raw materials, inventory integrity, delivery of raw materials and finished goods, warehouse safety and 5S.

Responsibilities:

Key Accountabilities

  • Directly Supervise team of 10-15 warehouse employees; drive cross-training
  • Oversee the issuing/return of production materials to/from SAP work orders
  • Maintain high (98%+) accuracy for inventory levels. Control cycle counting process and perform timely reconciliations in the event of discrepancies
  • Be hands on; become proficient with transactions inside MRP system. Work to identify and resolve systematic errors
  • Monitors productivity of team, attacks obstacles/points of frustration to ensure employees can offer a high level of support to the manufacturing operation
  • Ensure procedures are efficient, descriptive, and accurate. Hold employees accountable to follow procedures.  Drive compliance to ISO, GMP, FDA, MDSAP regulatory requirements.
  • Regular reporting on KPIs. Submit monthly reports as required by management
  • Be a champion for safety
  • Drive 5S; Maintain clear, unique bin locations throughout the Warehouse Management System (WMS). Maximize utilization of available warehouse space
  • Be able to meet deadlines, prioritize, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Supervise incoming and outgoing deliveries. Work with service providers to maintain loading dock equipment and powered industrial trucks in safe working order, enforce lock-out, tag-out procedures
  • Additional duties as assigned by Management

Qualifications:

Minimum Knowledge & Experience Required for the Position:

  • Education: Minimum of BS/BA in Business or related discipline required
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years warehouse or materials experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably FDA regulated
  • Hands-on experience with an integrated MRP system (SAP preferred)

Travel Requirements: 

  • < 5% of time

The annual salary range Werfen reasonably expects to pay for the position is $110,000 to $135,000. Compensation is reasonably based upon multiple factors including education, relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, and specific needs of the business.
