Inventory Specialist – We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to manage
our inventory operations. The Inventory Specialist responsibilities include tracking
inventory levels, handling all aspects of shipping and receiving, and keeping accurate
records. Our ideal candidate is familiar with inventory software and has a keen eye for
detail. Ultimately, the role of the Inventory Specialist is to ensure that our inventory is
managed efficiently, our records are accurate, and our supply chain is functioning
effectively. This person will be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to
detail and discretion as well as incorporating new and effective ways to achieve better
results.
Responsibilities
• Conduct regular inventory counts, including daily cycle counts and periodic full
physical inventories.
• Reconcile inventory discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
• Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and enter
receipts into the system.
• Organize and maintain stockroom, warehouse, or storage areas for efficient
product access.
• Generate inventory reports showing stock levels, turnover rates, and shrinkage
data for management.
• Coordinate with team to ensure adequate stock of high-demand products.
• Process inventory transfers, returns to vendors, and damaged goods write-offs.
• Maintain and update the inventory management system with accurate product
information.
• Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and recommend clearance or
disposal strategies.
• Implement and enforce inventory control procedures to improve accuracy and
reduce losses.
• Coordinate with production departments to forecast future inventory needs

Education and Training
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with an associate degree in supply
chain management, logistics, or business administration preferred. Hands-on experience
in stockroom operations, warehousing, or retail inventory management is highly valued.
Salary
Salary is based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications, as well as market and
business considerations. Two to three years of experience is preferred.
Pay Range: $35K to $42,000
