The Warehouse Laborer is responsible for accurately picking, assembling, and preparing customer orders in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled warehouse environment. This role is critical to maintaining order accuracy, productivity, and safety while supporting daily distribution operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, physically capable, and able to meet early start times and extended work schedules.Duties/Responsibilities:Pick, assemble, and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently.Verify order contents to ensure completeness and accuracy prior to shipment.Move, stack, and organize product in designated warehouse locations.Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards throughout the warehouse.Follow all company safety policies and operational procedures.Assist with general warehouse tasks as needed to support daily operations.Assist with other warehouse duties as neededRequired Skills/Abilities:Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Reliable, punctual, and able to meet attendance expectations.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Basic math and reading skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to adapt to changing priorities.Education and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Previous experience in food distribution, warehousing, shipping, or receiving preferred.Hi-lo or pallet jack certification is a plus and may qualify for a rate premium.Physical Requirements:Must be able to lift and move products and packaging weighing over 75 lbsAbility to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift for extended periods of timeComfortable working in cold environments, including coolers and freezersMust be able to wear appropriate cold-weather gear and safety equipmentReliable transportation to and from work site is requiredEmployment with Kaps is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check and, where applicable, a drug screening.
