Warehouse Lead - 1st Shift

High school education or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to speak and write English for effective communication. Basic math skills. Attention to detail and ability to follow directions. Mental reasoning capabilities and mature problem solving skills while managing multiple priorities. Interact respectfully and courteously with employees, co-workers, management, customers and vendors. Demonstrate safety consciousness and set tone for safe, productive, respectful work environment. Demonstrate understanding of preventive measures to reduce freight and property damage. Demonstrate interest in and understanding of all FHI policies and procedures and other employment issues. Leadership skills and ability to supervise people and production effectively. Must have valid driver's license and pass consumer background checks. FHI trainer experience preferred.

Requirements:

• Ability to read, write and speak English

• Basic math skills

• Freight Handlers must be able to lift cases by hand weighing from 25 to 95 pounds and can expect to handle between 50 and 200+ pallets

• Handlers are expected to work productively and safely

• Warehouse environment can vary from high heat to very cold temperatures

• Steel toed safety shoes are required

• Must interact respectfully and courteously with co-workers, customers and vendors.

• Handlers must have the ability to lift, walk, bend, twist, reach, push and squat the majority of the work day.
