Warehouse Lead - 2nd Shift

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations and leading a team of warehouse associates. This role ensures the efficient, accurate, and safe receipt, storage, and shipment of products. The Warehouse Lead serves as the main point of contact between management and warehouse staff, coordinating tasks and ensuring performance and safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate activities of warehouse associates, including shipping, receiving, order picking, packing, and inventory control.

• Assign daily tasks and monitor productivity, quality, and safety compliance.

• Train, coach, and provide feedback to team members.

• Ensure timely and accurate processing of inbound and outbound shipments.

• Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and inventory audits.

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as needed.

• Monitor use of warehouse space and suggest improvements for efficiency.

• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.

• Enforce safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.

• Assist the Warehouse Manager in evaluating team performance and recommending disciplinary or corrective actions when necessary.

• Collaborate with other departments (e.g., logistics, purchasing, sales) to meet customer demands and deadlines.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; additional training or certification a plus.

• 2+ years of warehouse experience, including 1+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.

• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, safety regulations, and inventory systems.

• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) preferred.

• Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment; certification may be required.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.

• Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced setting.
