Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Assist the warehouse supervisor by leading employees or processes within the warehouse.
- Will drive a forklift and or yard goats when needed.
- Oversee specific tasks or areas withing the warehouse, such as receiving, picking, packing or shipping.
- Provide guidance and direction to employees, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Serve as a point of contact for employees and act as a liaison between the employees and management.
- Follow all warehouse safety procedures and protocols.
- Must report all injuries to the warehouse supervisor and or Human Resources Manager.
- Process injury documentation and submit it to HR.
- Must train new hires and temps when needed.
- Will communicate when in need of temporary helpers.
- Will delegate work under the supervision and approval of the warehouse manager.
- Generate reports when needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High School Diploma, GED, or higher education.
- 2 plus years working as a warehouse Lead.
- Forklift and Yard goat driving experience.
- Bilingual Spanish a plus.
- Training experience.
- Good communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Some computer skills.
- Multi-tasking skills.
- Reliable, organized and friendly.
- Must be organized.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; kneel; talk; or hear, and hand grip. The employee may frequently lift, pull or push and/or move more than 30 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less), distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more), color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors), peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point), and ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus). Specific hearing levels within normal/average range.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to cold or heat weather conditions; the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Shift: Monday- Friday 6:00am-2:30pm
Pay Rate: $23.00/ Hour
