Position Summary

Under the direction of the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager, the Load Builder is responsible for building bulk loads for delivery to Pacific Beverage Company accounts. This role supports warehouse operations by accurately pulling product, stacking and wrapping pallets, staging orders, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and following all company safety and operational procedures.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Review pick lists and pull assigned products accurately for customer delivery.
  • Build, stack, wrap, label, and stage pallets in designated areas for delivery.
  • Write or apply account identification on pallets as required.
  • Turn completed paperwork in to the supervisor according to company procedures.
  • Operate forklifts, stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as assigned and authorized.
  • Maintain the warehouse in a clean, safe, and workable condition, including sweeping, scrubbing floors, removing debris, and supporting general housekeeping.
  • Restock flow racks and active warehouse locations as needed.
  • Maintain equipment in a clean and safe condition.
  • Notify a supervisor immediately if equipment needs repair or appears unsafe.
  • Report accidents, incidents, unsafe conditions, or damage involving company equipment in accordance with company safety policies.
  • Provide courteous and professional assistance to internal and external customers as needed.
  • Follow company policies and applicable regulatory requirements related to the handling, storage, loading, and distribution of beverage products.
  • Comply with federal, state, and company safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support warehouse and business operations.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred; or related warehouse, distribution, order pulling, loading, stocking, or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow pick lists, labels, safety rules, operating instructions, warehouse procedures, and company policies.
  • Ability to complete standardized forms and basic warehouse documentation accurately.
  • Ability to perform basic math, including counting, adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and verifying product quantities.
  • Ability to follow written, verbal, or diagram-based instructions and apply common-sense judgment to routine warehouse tasks.
  • Ability to work accurately and safely in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with supervisors, leads, coworkers, drivers, and other departments.
  • Experience operating forklifts, stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment preferred.
  • Must be certified, or able to successfully obtain company-required certification, to operate forklifts, stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment in accordance with OSHA and company safety requirements.
  • Valid California driver’s license is not required unless assigned duties involve operating company vehicles or other equipment requiring a license.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, reach, climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.
  • Ability to frequently use hands and arms to handle, move, stack, wrap, and secure product.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move product as part of regular warehouse operations.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to work extensively on or around forklifts, stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Work Environment

  • Work is performed in a warehouse environment, including dry storage, refrigerated areas, loading areas, and staging areas.
  • Employees may work near moving mechanical parts, warehouse equipment, palletized product, and elevated storage areas.
  • Employees may work in refrigerated environments for up to 50% of the workday.
  • Employees may be exposed to slippery floors or footing due to condensation or warehouse conditions.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Employees must follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.
