Warehouse Loader

Job description:

Pay Rate: $18.50/hr

Shift: Thursday - Monday 3pm-1:30am (4 days, 10 hour shifts)

We are seeking Warehouse Loaders to join our logistics team. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient and safe handling of goods within our warehouse environment. The Warehouse Loader will be responsible for loading and unloading shipments, managing inventory, and operating various types of heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong warehouse experience, demonstrate a commitment to safety protocols, and be capable of performing manual handling tasks with precision and care. No experience needed!

Duties

• Load and unload shipments using appropriate heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and cranes, adhering strictly to safety protocols.
• Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently to move goods within the warehouse.
• Perform order picking accurately using RF scanners and manual methods to fulfill customer orders promptly.
• Manage inventory by organizing stock, conducting regular counts, and maintaining accurate records.
• Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with OSHA safety standards.
• Handle materials manually when necessary, including heavy lifting and manual handling tasks.
• Support warehouse distribution activities by preparing items for shipment and ensuring proper load securing.
• Follow all safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation, OSHA regulations, and warehouse safety protocols.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace to promote safety and productivity.

Qualifications

Steel toe boots are required on the work site

• Proven experience in warehouse operations, including shipping & receiving, order picking, and inventory management.
• Demonstrated ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and load & unload machinery.
• Knowledge of warehouse distribution processes and materials handling techniques.
• Familiarity with RF scanners, basic math skills for inventory counting, and understanding of safety protocols including OSHA standards.
• Prior experience in warehouse supervisor roles or managing warehouse teams is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent manual handling skills.
• Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors.
