Warehouse Logistics Lead Hand

Step into the lead role that keeps everything moving

As the Warehouse Logistics Lead Hand, you start each shift by aligning people and priorities. You brief warehouse associates and drivers, assign routes and pick tasks, and jump in on the floor to coach a material handler through safe Reach Truck and Forklift operation. You keep inventory tight with cycle counts, verify accuracy with an RF scanner, and update records in MS Suite and our data works systems so everyone is working from clean, current information.

What your day looks like

• Lead a crew of warehouse associates and drivers, coordinating work without serving as their formal supervisor.
• Train and mentor team members on lifting machinery (Reach Trucks, Forklifts) and RF scanner usage.
• Own cycle counts and ensure inventory accuracy through diligent scanning and reconciliation.
• Plan and route common carriers and local company truck deliveries to meet service expectations.
• Enter, retrieve, and audit data across MS Suite and data works systems to keep operations in sync.
• Communicate clearly and professionally—verbally and in writing—with customers, drivers, and coworkers.
• Prioritize and delegate in a fast-paced environment, switching gears quickly while maintaining quality.
• Model strong judgment and adaptability; lead by example to drive positive change on the floor.

• Operate autonomously within established procedures and best practices.
• Apply specialized skills built through training and significant on-the-job experience.
• Coordinate closely with related teams, understanding how work streams connect to hit shared goals.
• Allocate work and serve as a subject-matter resource for less experienced team members.
• Use tact and diplomacy to exchange ideas and solve problems, even when there’s no clear precedent.
• Influence outcomes and the effectiveness of your own and adjacent teams.

Physical and work environment

• Work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Good physical health required.
• Lift 75+ lbs frequently and repetitively.

What you bring

• Experience leading warehouse teams and coordinating drivers.
• Hands-on knowledge of Reach Trucks, Forklifts, cycle counts, and RF scanners.
• Comfort with computers; proficiency in MS Suite.
• Familiarity with data works systems; able to input and retrieve information quickly and accurately.
• Excellent organization, planning, and multitasking skills with sound judgment.
• Professional communication skills with customers and coworkers.

Compensation

Pay Range: $19.00 - $21.60
