Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor

Job Duties:

  • Executing and maintaining standardized processes, procedures, and material flow in ALAM facilities and third-party warehouses, focusing on material handling, storage, shipping, receiving, inventory, and returns.
  • Supporting facility layout design, system integration (SAP), and actively contributing to continuous improvement initiatives using lean, six sigma, and engineering methodologies.
  • Guiding daily order/shipment status, inventory management, warehouse capacity, 3PL performance, and order fulfillment rates to maintain operational excellence.
  • Partnering with planning and production teams to enhance overall operations capabilities and contribute to cost savings.
  • Ensuring regulatory/trade compliance, risk mitigation of supply chain disruptions, and adherence to safety regulations and SOPs (including IATA, IMDG, Import/Export trade compliance and local regulatory requirements based upon chemicals in inventory).
  • Guiding and supporting the growth of a team of logistics and warehouse personnel, including daily task coordination, training certifications, and fostering connections with cross-functional teams for seamless operations.
  • Providing daily supervision of warehouse processes, workflows, and systems to maintain a consistent flow and team effectiveness.
  • Enhancing warehouse layout, material flow, and inventory management to minimize bottlenecks and foster throughput. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and effective resource utilization.

Are You a Match?

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher (Preferably Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or Management) or extensive knowledge of Logistics, Distribution & Warehouse management.
  • 3+ years of Logistics/Warehouse experience preferred.
  • Highly organized individual with demonstrated ability to learn, collaborative problem-solving abilities, attention to detail and strategic analytical skills.
  • ASCM certification, certificate (or similar) or the ability to obtain such items within 12 months of hire.
  • DOT, IATA, IMDG Certification
  • Experience with lean six sigma methodologies, and warehouse management systems.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
  • Must be able to visit 3 warehouses, capable of lifting 50 or less pounds and ability to obtain forklift certification.
  • Candidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future. This position is not open for non-immigrant visa sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with specialty or hazardous chemicals.
  • Exposure to the electronics industry or other high demand environments.
  • Strong SAP system experience.
