Job Description

We are in search of a Warehouse Manager to join our growing team. The Warehouse Manager is responsible for training and development of warehouse staff, efficiency of warehouse operations and overall divisional warehouse functions.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for recommendations and execution of procedures involving shipping, receiving, inventory and all aspects of warehouse procedures, including communication with purchasing and sales
  • Support and enforce safety programs and guidelines
  • Select, train, direct and motivate employees
  • Appraise performance and recommend salary actions
  • Direct day and night warehouse crew and delivery drivers through Lead personnel
  • Schedule and insure accurate receiving and put away of stock
  • Insure delivery trucks are safely and accurately loaded
  • Insure drivers demonstrate outstanding customer service and safe working and driving habits
  • Insure all DPT rules and regulations are strictly enforced
  • Responsible for maintaining safe working conditions in warehouse, including safe storage of hazardous products
  • Additional duties or special projects as assigned.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Prior management experience (distribution and warehouse environment preferred)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills with a good to excellent proficiency level in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Bachelor's degree preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required lift up to 50lbs and push/pull 100lbs. Ability to walk, climb, kneel, stoop, and balance occasionally. Ability to physically sit at a desk and operate a computer.
