    Job Description

    1. Occupational Summary (Position Objective & Authorities)

    Objective:

    Manage inbound material receiving processes, Supplier Surveillance and Supplier Oversight Processes for service providers and all logistics associated with inbound material, storage and kitting. Designs and executes strategies and plans to meet Safran Seats short-term and long term supply chain management processes. (Optimized storage, stock rotations, etc.)

    Incorporate Lean principles into the daily activities by taking part in One Safran workshops

    This position is a key developmental leadership role for candidates seeking higher leadership positions within Safran. This position may have salaried or hourly (Union) direct reports and works under minimal supervision.

    1. Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities)

    Main Function Responsibilities and Activities

    Position responsibilities and activities filling Guidelines

    A) Maintain highest safety in all areas. Work to create and maintain a culture of safety by promoting tools and awareness that align with HSE compliance.

    B) Align process with receiving and receiving inspection departments to ensure timely movement of material through the process.

    C) Manage and Coordinate Supplier assessments to evaluate compliance, and process control for support services.

    D) Develop and maintain metrics to support and manage Supply Chain Performance (OTD, Kit Quality, inventory accuracy, etc)

    E) Develop and maintain storage environment parameters, physical and logistical flow is synchronized and visual management is used with regular updates depending on the regulations evolutions and on the company activities changes.

    F) Implement Processes that reduce costs, reduce inventory, and increase the efficiency in the receipt of materials while ensuring the quality requirements of the organization are met.

    G) Facilitate and lead the implementation of One Safran Lean process with Kanban, Min-Max, VMI etc. based upon PFEP and ABC inventory classifications across the Safran Seats Sites.

    H) Continuous improvement mindset to constantly evaluate and seek improvements in Supply Chain efficiencies in an ever-changing environment.

    I) Follow up on activities in education, innovation and safety

    J) Recruit, hire, onboard, train, develop, motivate, evaluate employee performance, and initiate promotions, transfers, and corrective action.

    K) Performs other duties as assigned.

    Job Requirements

    1. Qualification Requirements-

    A. Education & Qualification-

    • Bachelors degree (B.S.) in a related discipline or equivalent (6 years) related experience.

    B. Work Experience - Technical knowledge-

    • Additionally three (3) years of Hands-on experience in Manufacturing Operations, Engineering, Quality or Supply Chain required.
    • 3+ years experience and/or training in a lean manufacturing environment.
    • Practical application experience of continuous improvement warehousing, logistics, or operations.

    C Professional Skills-

    • Excellent knowledge of all aspects of product realization processes.
    • Must be an effective communicator, motivator and a leader.
    • Must be able to train operators, managers/cell leaders in lean and operations excellence tools.
    • Purpose driven thinking.
    • Require knowledge of warehousing and distribution methods.
    • Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma problem solving methodologies is desired.
    • Ability to collect and interpolate data

    D Behavioral Skills-

    • Must have the ability to generate written communication and to operate required office equipment. Ability to read and review written communication. Speech and hearing abilities that allow individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English.
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
    • Ability to work with a diverse population with varying education and skills background

    E Desirable Aspects-

    • MRP (M3), Powerlink, SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle, 3PL experience
    • AS/RS systems
