Warehouse Manager

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of the facility warehouse. This includes, but is not limited to, overseeing the storage, inventory, distribution and shipping & receiving of product. Role is also responsible for managing the various roles within the warehouse.

Essential Functions:

  • Inventory Control: Oversee cycle counts and maintain accurate stock levels for raw materials and finished goods to prevent production delays
  • Workflow Optimization: Manage the movement and storage of goods, aligning warehouse processes with daily manufacturing schedules
  • Team management: Recruit, train, schedule and evaluate warehouse associates
  • Safety & Compliance: Enforce OSHA safety regulations, company safety policies & procedures, conduct safety training as needed and ensure a clean and orderly work environment
  • Equipment Management: Coordinate the maintenance and repair of machinery such as forklifts and racking systems.
  • Shipping & Receiving: Manage the shipping & receiving processes and policies; ensure accurate paperwork, ensure timely receipt and shipment of product and maintain solid working relationships with 3rd party shipping vendors
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with production, Procurement and inside sales departments to ensure seamless execution of supply chain and product shipment to customers

Required Skills & Knowledge:

  • Previous experience working with an ERP system
  • Supervisory experience
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing warehouse
  • Previous experience working with an inventory tracking system such as ShipStore
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize work
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong collaboration and relationship building skills
  • Ability to handle conflict in a productive manner

Required Education & Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years in a Warehouse Management role in a manufacturing facility
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience supervising direct reports
  • Previous experience working with an ERP system, preferably SAP

Preferred Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Business and/or Supply Chain Management
  • Extensive experience using a recent version of SAP

Special Position Requirements:

  • Forklift Certified

Physical Demands/ Equipment used to perform the job:

  • Position is in a temperature controlled office, but requires time in a non-temperature-controlled warehouse environment.
  • Requires squatting, lifting, reaching overhead and bending
  • Daily use of keyboard, computer monitor and phone
