SUMMARY

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for maintaining and overseeing inventory and supplies by receiving, storing, and delivering items.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Shipping and Receiving

  • Greet and receive delivery drivers to dock area

  • Supervise the unloading or unload freight and equipment deliveries as needed. Inspect for damage and tag for inventory tracking purposes

  • Inspect, load and secure outgoing freight and record as necessary for inventory tracking purposes

  • Sort and place freight in designated areas according to warehouse standards/requirements,

  • Inventory Controls

  • Maintain an organized warehouse

  • Maintain proper inventory controls of consumables; order and restock as needed

  • Conduct periodic physical inventory counts, reconcile with computerized counts

  • Building, Office, Warehouse and Grounds Maintenance

  • Perform light housekeeping and spill clean-up as needed in office

  • Perform light maintenance in warehouse and office

  • Assist in security and fire alarm recordkeeping and testing

  • Resolve routine office maintenance and warehouse equipment issues

  • Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and request same from employees, delivery drivers and customers

  • Consistent and prompt attendance, is reliable and dependable

  • Perform other duties as assigned and/or requested by Superintendents, Foreman, Managers and Office Personnel

Required Experience and/or Education

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Intermediate mechanical skills required
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Forklift Operator Certification
  • 1-2 yrs. previous warehouse experience
  • Rudimentary knowledge of inventory systems
  • Good verbal and written communication, organizational, time management & mathematical skills
  • Basic computer skills
