About This Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Shipping Manager and Expeditor to lead our shipping operations and ensure seamless coordination of order fulfillment. In this vital role, you will oversee the entire shipping process, from managing warehouse distribution to expediting urgent shipments, all while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
Your Contributions
- Expedite urgent or delayed shipments by communicating with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve issues swiftly
- Prepare shipping documentation such as bills of lading, customs paperwork, and load manifests
- Maintain accurate records of all outbound shipments, inventory movements, and delivery statuses for audit readiness
- Manage all UPS, FED Ex, DHL, Trucking and freight forwarders
- Implement best practices for packaging to protect goods during transit while minimizing costs
- Support warehouse distribution efforts with packing when required
- Assist the Purchasing department with Expediting of incoming orders with Vendors to ensure timely delivery.
Bringing to the Table
- Strong knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures along with experience in order fulfillment processes in a distribution setting
- Ability to operate to lift approx. 50 lbs.
- Excellent organizational skills with a focus on accuracy in documentation
- Basic math skills for calculating weights, measurements, and shipment costs accurately
- Familiarity with packaging standards to ensure product safety during transit
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with internal teams, carriers, suppliers, and customers
