  • Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, overtime may be required up to 50 hours per week during peak season which may include Saturday

                                                                                             
    Manager Core Functions:
    • Creates plans for managing department within budget and target constraints.
    • Ensure plans are executed timely and modified to meet demand shifts.
    • Responsible for team member development at all levels within warehouse.
    • Responsible for hiring decisions; determines staffing needs within department, interviews and participates in candidate sourcing and selection for warehouse positions.
    • Prioritize tasks for completion and communicate to team via Daily Direction Setting (DDS) to include the following elements: KPIs (for example: trucks shipping that day, trucks to be staged, pieces headed to warehouses for put-away), any challenges or abnormalities in routine team needs consider for the day, safety topic, pre-shift stretching.
    • Troubleshoot issues with team (people or process) to minimize adverse impact.
    • Perform administrative duties such as attendance, performance counseling and documentation, report generation or creation, attend meetings, etc.
    • Supports and provides detail and information to create labor plans for budgeting and forecasting purposes.
    • Responsible for representing the CHB plant shipping and warehouse community in collaboration with the CHB Corporate Logistics Manager.
    • Responsible for leading or supporting projects as needed.
    • Provides coverage as necessary to ensure business continuity.
    • Keeps safety at the forefront of all assigned tasks, ensures team is aware of risk associated with all job tasks and necessary equipment used to complete. May be required to rollout additional/new safety training or programs.
    • Keeps quality at the forefront of all assigned tasks, ensures team understanding of visual cues that should result in a quality alert or require remediation; damaged boxes, labels, mismatched product/packaging, etc.
    • Provides training in work tasks and conduct for hourly employees, including reinforcement of company policies and procedures.
    • Ensure new employees feel welcome and receive the knowledge and training necessary to be successful on our team and documents training provided.
    • Provides work task direction to hourly employees.
    • Transport team members between worksites as needed in compliance with our ground transportation policy.
    • Supports other departments as needed or as requested by Manager.
     
    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Improvement, implementation, support and promotion of all Safety policies, programs and 5s initiatives to ensure the safety of all employees.
    • Warehouse Inventory storage and staging.
    • Supervision and management of all shipping, receiving and warehouse personnel.
    • Managing multiple warehouse sites/docks as applicable.
    • Plan and organize workflow to effectively perform assigned tasks in a timely manner.
    • Process, organization and retention of shipment paperwork.
    • Perform all duties as assigned. 
    • Promote, support and participate in all company policies, procedures and programs. 
    • Check and verify shipping records, handle questions or concerns regarding shipment shortages or overages as well as address any problems with inventory control.
    • Coordinate retailer shipment compliance.
    • Coordinate work teams for maximum efficiency.
    • Coordinate product needs with production supervisors in accordance with shipping schedules.
    • Sharing Labor and Resources for more than one site as applicable.
    • Training and evaluation of shipping and warehouse personnel.
     
    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    • Strong and effective communication. 
    • Demonstrated Leadership. 
    • Strong analytical and organizational skills with process improvement history. 
    • Proven history of successful multitasking through prioritization and clear communication. 
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook. 
     
    EDUCATION:
    • BS/BA Degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field preferred.
     
    EXPERIENCE:
    • Minimum 4 years of experience in logistics and a warehouse environment. 
     
    ROLE SPECIFIC ABILITIES/SKILLS:
    • Proven strong communication skills; Bi-Lingual (Spanish) is a preferred. 
    • Forklift and/or Commercial Vehicle License (CDL) is preferred. 
    • Travel to other CHB facilities and related businesses (Vendors, Customers, etc.) will be required.
