Position: Warehouse Manager – Santa Fe Springs
Location: Santa Fe Springs Warehouse – Santa Fe Springs, CA

Hours of work: Full-time position with hours Monday-Friday 9:00-5:00; extended hours after 5:00 or weekend depending on customer or facility requirements

The Warehouse Manager is fully responsible for the overall management, supervision, direction, and coordination of all warehouse operations for the assigned the facility. The manager is to ensure the personnel and activities achieve the objectives which are compatible with the safety, quality and environmental standards set for the facility. Strong leadership and management skills will be critical to succeeding in this role.

Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to)

• Responsible for maintaining the operational activity spend within the annual budget planReport activities causing variances to budget and understand the root issue and advise options to mitigate if possibleUnderstand operational changes and or facility requirements and report findings to allow incorporation into annual profit planEstablish and promote a safe and environmentally compliant work environment through the use of corporate and local safety programs and policiesStress the importance of following safe job procedures and use of PPE.in all activitiesAccountable for meeting corporate and local safety goals and targetsAudit equipment and the facility to ensure building and grounds are secure and in a safe conditionResponsible for inventory control and accuracy of all materials shipping in and out and storageEnsure SAP execution for receipts, reclass, blending and shipments out are completed timely and accuratelyResponsible for completing cycle counts as assigned and the setup, preparation, and accuracy for the annual physical inventoryPlain and maintain daily, weekly, monthly schedules and staffing requirements to meet established objectivesResponsible for the direct supervision of all warehouse operations and personnel to ensure successful execution of the assigned tasks in a safe and environmentally compliant mannerUnderstand all job duties, work and safety procedures, policies and relationship of the job to others as requiredAs required, act as a working supervisor to complete the operational task to ensure timing and quality requirements are metTrain warehouse personnel to ensure job safety, productivity and knowledge are sufficient to meet job assignments, targets, and objectives
  

Qualifications

• A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is requiredAn associate’s degree or equivalent from a 2-year college or university is preferred (Logistics, Operations, or comparable experience)3-5 years of supervisory experience in warehousing/operations is requiredA valid Driver’s License is requiredFork-lift certification is required
