Warehouse Manager

Overview

We are partnering with an established flooring industry company to identify a Warehouse Manager for its Tracy, California operation. This is an onsite leadership role responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, inventory, receiving, shipping, distribution, logistics, equipment, productivity, and customer service.

The Warehouse Manager will lead a warehouse team in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment while ensuring materials are accurately received, stored, prepared, and distributed on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily warehouse activities and operations
• Lead, manage, and develop warehouse employees through clear direction and regular feedback
• Oversee receiving, storage, picking, preparation, shipping, and distribution of flooring materials and supplies
• Maintain accurate inventory records, organization, and stock rotation
• Ensure materials are properly prepared and available for timely and accurate shipment
• Oversee driver routes, deliveries, and distribution activities
• Monitor warehouse productivity, workflow, and space utilization
• Establish and enforce warehouse policies, procedures, and best practices
• Inspect warehouse equipment, tools, and machinery and coordinate necessary maintenance
• Promote a safe, clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment
• Collaborate with other departments to support customer service and overall operations
• Identify operational issues and implement solutions to improve efficiency and productivity
• Provide direct written and verbal feedback and hold employees accountable

Ideal Background

• High school diploma or GED required; college education preferred
• 10+ years of warehouse leadership or management experience, including experience managing hourly employees
• Strong knowledge of warehouse procedures, inventory control, shipping, receiving, and distribution
• Proven leadership, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively with employees and management at all levels
• Comfortable providing direct feedback and holding employees accountable
• Ability to work in a physically active warehouse environment
• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.

Preferred Experience

• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Experience in flooring, tile, stone, building products, or a related industry
• Degree or advanced education in logistics, supply chain, engineering, or a related field
• Relevant industry experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate
