Warehouse Manager

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for managing all activities of the warehouse to include upholding best-practice standards for food safety, inventory control, regulatory compliance, audit activities, sanitation, and overall management of all CTFB product in the warehouse. In addition, the Warehouse Manager is responsible for executing safe and efficient warehouse operations and continuous improvement through a "hands-on" approach. We are hiring a morning shift and afternoon shift manager. The morning shift is Monday- Friday from 6:30am- 3 pm and the afternoonshift is Monday through Friday from 12pm- 8 pm. Both roles have occasional Saturday hours as needed.

Reporting to the Director of Warehousing, this position is highly visible internally with a team of 15 including 2 direct reports. The Warehouse Manager works closely with the transportation, food industry, and distribution teams to meet organizational priorities and goals.

Your Qualifications

· 5 – 7 years minimum experience in warehousing, food safety, and management.

· Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferred or equivalent experience required.

· 3-5 years' experience leading and building teams

· Experience in training and certifying associates in the operation of powered industrial equipment, like forklifts, electric pallet jacks etc.

· Experience in utilizing warehouse management software

· Experience in food safety audit concepts and technique, HACCP programs, and food safety regulations

· Ability to work in a freezer/cooler environment.

· Analytical, data interpretation, planning, and innovative problem-solving skills.

· Ability to develop and effectively manage execution of new initiatives.

· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; effective verbal and written communication skills.

· Strong work ethic with the tenacity to work under extreme pressure.

· Strong computer proficiency, including warehouse management systems, ERP solutions, and Microsoft Office.

Your Responsibilities

· Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, shipping, inventory, reporting, and food safety.

· Responsible for the development of the Warehouse team through training.

· Create, update, and provide regular training on SOPs

· Create a cohesive organization by keeping lines of communication open and direct workforce to ensure efficient workflow.

· Monitor a variety of operational data, including inventory losses, goals and safety reports, identify problems, determine causes, and recommend changes to senior leadership to produce zero-error benchmarks on accuracy

· Prepare and verify all reports and record-keeping pertaining to warehouse. This includes shipping and receiving, inventory control, transfers, salvage, storage, rotation.

· Manage the food safety compliance program; ensure all food safety required reports and logs are submitted and filed timely.

· Conduct weekly in-house food safety audits; ensure corrective actions are implemented and followed through with documentation.

· Ensure proper inspection, handling, storage, rotation, and distribution of all inventories in accordance with Safe Food Handling, OSHA, and Feeding America guidelines.

· Prepare and document all third-party audits (USDA, AIB, Feeding America, etc.), maintain professional interaction with all third-party auditors and regulatory agencies, and implement corrective action from the audit findings.

· Ensure facility and equipment is in constant compliance with all Federal and State OSHA, HACCP, USDA, AIB and First Aid regulation requirements

· Maintain organizational compliance with OSHA, USDA, AIB, LEED, Feeding America, Department of Health, food industry and other relevant licensing and permitting entities.

· Assist in planning of warehouse functions to include long-term departmental goal setting, work planning, operational analysis, and evaluation.

· Develop a high-performance team culture focused on leadership and accountability at all levels, continuous learning, collaboration, measurement, and goal achievement by modeling the way and enabling others to act.

· Set performance goals for team members that align to CTFB's strategy and evaluate performance against goals on a regular basis.

Working Conditions

· Hours of Operation: Although organization hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., this position may work closer to 45-50 hours per week, especially during peak times such as holiday seasons, growing seasons, and disaster response. After-hours business work is required occasionally throughout the year. Frequent after-hours work is required relating to special events (nights and weekends).

· Environment : Involves activities in both office and warehouse environments. There are extended periods of sitting, standing, lifting, and bending, listening, talking and/or visual concentration. The noise in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

· Travel: CTFB serves 21 counties in central Texas and often requires same-day travel between counties, using a personal vehicle, CTFB passenger fleet and occasional out of town travel for meetings, special events or meeting for some positions.
