Warehouse Manager
We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven Warehouse Manager to lead day-to-day warehouse operations. This role is responsible for ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and safety across all functions, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence while maintaining a well-organized and high-performing warehouse environment.
Warehouse Manager Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
- Oversee warehouse layout, organization, storage systems, and facility upkeep
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve standard operating procedures
- Ensure accuracy, cleanliness, and overall operational efficiency
Shipping & Receiving
- Manage all inbound and outbound shipments to ensure accuracy, compliance, and on-time delivery
- Coordinate daily workflows, staffing, documentation, and carrier relationships
- Monitor freight costs and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
Inventory Management
- Maintain high inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliations, and proper labeling
- Oversee receiving, inspection, counting, and put-away processes
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies, damages, and variances in collaboration with internal teams
Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management
- Foster a culture of accountability, safety, teamwork, and customer service
- Set clear expectations and ensure productivity and quality standards are consistently met
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce OSHA and workplace safety standards
- Conduct safety training and ensure proper use of PPE and equipment
- Maintain a safe, compliant environment and manage incident follow-ups as needed
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with internal departments to support operational priorities
- Serve as the escalation point for warehouse-related issues
- Drive cross-functional solutions to improve efficiency and service level
Warehouse Manager Qualifications
- 5-8 years of experience in warehouse operations, shipping/receiving, and team leadership
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and shipping platforms
- Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Frequent walking, standing, and movement throughout the warehouse
- Ability to bend, lift, and work extended hours as needed
