The Warehouse Material Mover is responsible for safely and efficiently moving, staging, loading, unloading, and organizing materials and finished goods throughout the warehouse and production areas. This position supports daily warehouse and manufacturing operations by ensuring materials are available where and when they are needed while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Essential Responsibilities
Move raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, pallets, and other warehouse materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, or other material-handling equipment.
Load and unload trucks and trailers safely and efficiently.
Transport materials between receiving, storage, production, and shipping areas.
Stage materials and finished products according to production and shipping requirements.
Verify product, quantities, labels, and pallet information before moving materials.
Maintain accurate inventory locations and report discrepancies to warehouse supervision.
Assist with receiving, put-away, order picking, and shipping activities as needed.
Maintain organized warehouse storage areas and ensure materials are stored safely.
Follow all company safety procedures, including proper equipment operation and material-handling practices.
Inspect material-handling equipment before use and report any safety or maintenance concerns.
Keep work areas clean and free of hazards.
Complete required paperwork, inventory transactions, and scanning activities accurately.
Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Previous warehouse, material-handling, or manufacturing experience preferred.
Forklift experience preferred; certification may be required.
Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull materials as required by the position.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
Basic ability to read and understand shipping documents, labels, work instructions, and safety procedures.
Good attendance, reliability, and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
Regularly stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and lift throughout the workday.
Ability to safely handle warehouse materials and equipment.
Ability to lift materials within the company's established weight limits.
Ability to work in a warehouse environment that may include varying temperatures, noise, dust, and equipment traffic.
