Job Description

: _The primary duties and responsibilities of the Material Handler consist of, but are not limited to, the following:_

+ Responsible for placing product in designated rows in warehouse neatly and evenly.

+ Ensure labeling and packaging are correct prior to moving product into warehouse.

+ Supply production areas with needed raw materials.

+ Load and Unload product on stretch-wrap machine.

+ Monitor efficiency of the stretch-wrap machine and report equipment failures to the Maintenance Department.

+ Maintain stretch-wrap supply on machine.

+ Oversee housekeeping and safety standards in the Warehouse Department.

+ Assist loaders in loading and unloading semi-trailers when needed.

EDUCATION, SKILLS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

+ High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

+ Previous forklift operating experience in a manufacturing environment.

+ Possess communication and organizational skills, be detail-oriented, and possess basic computer skills.

+ The ability to frequently sit and intermittently stand, walk, bend, climb stairs, twist, crouch, reach and lower body.

+ Ability to demonstrate sound judgment regarding work priorities and problem solving.

+ Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds safely.
