Role: Material Handler II
Location: Itasca, IL 60143
Schedule: Monday Friday | 7:00 AM 3:30 PMPosition Summary:
The Material Handler II is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels and ensuring materials are delivered to the appropriate manufacturing and assembly areas in a timely manner. This role supports warehouse, production, and inventory operations by performing material movements, work order transactions, cycle counting, and inventory control activities while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Forklift and SAP training will be provided. This position offers potential for permanent hire based on performance, along with competitive wages and benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform material movements both physically and within the ERP system.
  • Generate and process work orders using the ERP system.
  • Complete work order receipts and inventory transactions accurately.
  • Conduct cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Support manufacturing and assembly operations by ensuring timely material availability.
  • Assist with product flow and coordination across production areas.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Work effectively within a cross-functional team environment.
  • Handle chemicals safely in designated areas after receiving proper training.
  • Support quality, environmental, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Collaborate professionally with employees, customers, vendors, and contractors.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Work overtime as required to meet business needs.
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous warehouse, material handling, inventory control, or manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials.
  • Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn ERP systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be local to Itasca, IL or within a 20-mile radius.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Forklift experience or certification.
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Manufacturing or production support experience.
  • Experience with cycle counting and inventory management processes.
Work Environment:
  • Manufacturing and warehouse environment.
  • Requires standing, walking, lifting, bending, and material handling throughout the shift.
  • May involve handling chemicals with appropriate training and safety procedures.
  • Compliance with FDA regulations, Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and company safety standards is required.
