Material Handler

Position Summary

The Material Handler is responsible for the safe movement, storage, and shipment of materials and finished goods throughout the warehouse and manufacturing facility. This role supports shipping, receiving, inventory accuracy, and internal material flow using powered industrial equipment and warehouse management systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pick, move, and put away materials and finished goods using a cherry picker / high-lift narrow aisle picker
  • Load and unload trucks using a sit-down forklift / tow motor
  • Wrap pallets and verify that products match shipping paperwork and order documentation
  • Pull finished goods for customer shipments and stage them for loading
  • Move materials from staging areas to warehouse storage or designated manufacturing locations
  • Maintain accurate inventory transactions and documentation using WMS / RF scanning systems
  • Support shipping and receiving activities as needed
  • Follow all safety procedures, equipment operating guidelines, and company policies
  • Help maintain an organized, clean, and efficient warehouse environment

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of warehouse or material handling experience
  • RF scanner experience required
  • Forklift and high-lift narrow aisle picker experience required
  • Experience loading/unloading trucks and moving product safely within a warehouse environment
  • Ability to accurately complete paperwork and maintain inventory records
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • FedEx and UPS shipping experience is a plus

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and lift throughout the shift
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse/manufacturing environment and operating material handling equipment safely
