Job Title: Warehouse Mover
Location: East Durham, NY 12423
Type: Contract
Compensation: $26.95/hr
Work Model: Onsite
Hours: B shift and C shift: 7PM- 7AM
Responsibilities
- Responsible for receipt, administration, control, and management of inventory of raw and packaging materials.
- Operate powered industrial trucks (PIT) to perform inventory moves accurately and safely.
- Input data related to purchased and used items into ERP systems, including SAP.
- Complete daily stock transaction reconciliations to ensure targeted stock accuracy.
- Monitor goods in quarantine and manufacturing systems, checking near expiry and delivery orders.
- Replenish materials when stock levels are low.
- Ensure all equipment is tracked and in compliance, and materials are properly labeled and disposed of.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects for departmental systems and processes.
- Maintain a safe and compliant warehouse environment, adhering to SOPs and company policies.
- Develop skills to progress to Level 2 Inventory Control Mover.
- Conduct prompt data entry for raw and packaging materials receipt, inspection, and issuance.
- Maintain good safety, conduct, and attendance records.
- Handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Basic math skills and English reading/writing comprehension.
- Ability to operate PIT equipment safely.
- Flexibility to work extended hours, including night shifts.
- Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year of recent experience in a high-energy, fast-paced, cGMP warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- SAP or WMS system experience.
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently.
- Effective communicator at all organizational levels.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to address operational issues.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in FDA regulated environments.
- PIT certifications or experience.
- Knowledge of Lean warehousing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Inventory control and shipping/receiving experience.
