Job description:
Shift: 6am – 3pm Monday – Friday
Department: Warehouse
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Operations:
1. Collects paperwork for inbound deliveries (IE, BOL, manifests, etc.) throughout the day.
2. Verifies trucker appointments via: “A” phone or at the Warehouse entrance window and notifies Supervisor of arrival.
3. Monitors and greets people entering parking lot via gate access system. Question’s purpose:
allows / denies access to premises.
4. Assigns one-time passcodes for inbound deliveries and others. Coordinates the issuance of one time codes with the traffic manager.
5. Assigns / Deletes site access (codes or License plate information) for all employees including Temps.
6. Monitors insurance (COIs) coverage and requests with Intercounty insurance broker. Adds new and deletes obsolete vendors. Communicates status on monthly basis.
7. Monitors / Collects and communicates results of weekly housekeeping audits. Track open items and assignments monthly.
8. Monitors/ Collects and reports daily results of forklift training. Maintains practical and formal training documents (Paper and Electronic)
9. Monitors and collects and communicates results of any quality checks. Provides information to supervisors and Managers.
10. Acts as a backup, covers days off and vacation time for Office Administrator and Traffic Manager
11. Creates spreadsheets and Memos to support operations as needed.
12. Supports Return and Cycle Counting efforts by entering data base information or creating / verifying reports.
Safety / Housekeeping:
1. Enforces, cooperates with and complies with all Company safety, inventory control policies, rules and regulations.
2. Participates in safety walk throughs and presents information weekly to Director of Distribution.
SKILLS:
1. Knowledge of excel and word with the ability to create spreadsheets (Intermediate to advance knowledge required)
2. Access Data base knowledge A+++++
