Location: Charlotte, NC

Schedule: Monday through Friday | 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM | Occasional evenings and weekends as business needs require

Horne Heating and Air Conditioning is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations and Inventory Manager to oversee warehouse operations, fleet readiness, inventory control, and equipment management. This position plays a critical role in supporting both our service and installation departments by improving efficiency, minimizing downtime, and maintaining organized daily operations.

What You'll Be Responsible For

As the Operations and Inventory Manager, you'll oversee the daily functions that keep our field teams productive and prepared.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage warehouse operations to maintain an organized, safe, and efficient facility

  • Monitor inventory levels for HVAC equipment, installation materials, tools, and service parts

  • Coordinate purchasing and replenishment of warehouse supplies and inventory

  • Ensure installation materials are staged and ready before scheduled projects

  • Oversee inventory assigned to service vehicles and coordinate regular truck restocking

  • Manage company fleet records, maintenance schedules, inspections, licensing, and repairs

  • Schedule preventative maintenance to reduce vehicle downtime

  • Work closely with service, installation, purchasing, and dispatch teams to support daily operations

  • Supervise warehouse personnel while providing coaching, accountability, and performance feedback

  • Develop procedures that improve inventory accuracy and operational efficiency

  • Lead warehouse meetings and contribute to continuous process improvements

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience leading warehouse, logistics, inventory, or operations teams

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills

  • Experience managing inventory control and purchasing processes

  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

  • Comfortable working both in the warehouse and in an office environment

  • Strong computer proficiency with business software systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ServiceTitan

  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks

  • Experience using Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Teams

  • Familiarity with Paylocity or similar HR software

  • Experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, construction, or another skilled trades industry

  • Knowledge of fleet management, vehicle maintenance scheduling, and safety compliance

  • Understanding of purchase orders, vendor relationships, inventory forecasting, and job costing
