Responsible for supporting various functions in the company's Distribution Center. role in a warehouse environment. Will assist with unloading and loading product, picking, and packing, with the goal to increase efficiency, profitability and customer satisfaction. Position will also serve as a back-up inter-store driver. This position is Monday thru Friday from 8:00am to 5:30pm.
Primary Job Duties/Responsibilities
WAREHOUSE:
- Utilize stand-up forklift to move product around the Distribution Center.
- Load and wrap pallets for shipment with various carriers.
- Ensure that shelves are kept at proper stocking levels and are in and orderly condition.
- Pull merchandise for customer orders and properly prepare for delivery.
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.
DELIVERY:
- Safely load, deliver, and unload deliveries to other Eakes locations.
- Ensure all supply deliveries are completed correctly, courteously, and efficiently.
MAINTENANCE:
- Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment.
- Perform general interior and exterior building maintenance as needed.
OTHER DUTIES AS MAY BE ASSIGNED
- High school education or equivalent desirable
- Delivery/Warehouse experience preferred
- Must be able to learn how to operate a stand-up forklift
- Must be able to pass DOT physical
