In this position, you will oversee the daily functions of a busy warehouse, ensuring smooth shipping and receiving activities while managing key performance metrics. You'll lead a team of supervisors and staff, orchestrate operational strategies, and promote safety and compliance standards. Your expertise will contribute to cost-effective operations, employee development, and maintaining high service standards for a diverse customer base.
Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in warehousing or distribution.
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems such as IBM, Oracle, or similar.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams of 50+ employees.
  • Solid understanding of OSHA, DOT, HAZMAT, FDA regulations; willingness to obtain relevant certifications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of process improvement tools like Lean/Six Sigma.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, fluctuating environments, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Capacity to lift up to 100 pounds and work in varied temperature settings (-10°F to 90°F).
Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to optimize warehouse efficiency and cost management.
  • Coordinate shipping/receiving schedules to meet operational goals.
  • Lead the warehouse team, including supervision, hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews.
  • Monitor and manage inbound/outbound shipments for accuracy and timeliness.
  • Ensure compliance with operational procedures, safety protocols, and industry standards.
  • Analyze workload versus staffing and plan for future needs based on business forecasts.
  • Manage warehouse budgets, track performance metrics, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, promote safety culture, and enforce OSHA, FDA, USDA, and other compliance standards.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance, coordinate with internal teams or vendors.
  • Support employee development through coaching, recognition, and professional growth initiatives.
