Warehouse Operator - Forklift and Material Handling (1st Shift)

Job TitleJob Description Required Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Required Skills and Experience: 1–3 years of warehouse or related experience and/or training Experience using forklifts, conveyors, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials, parts, assemblies, and finished goods Ability to maintain records Basic knowledge of material handling, logistics, or manufacturing production processes Effective communication skills Ability to read, write, interpret, and comprehend documents written in English Ability to perform basic math calculations Ability to work in a metrics-driven environment General computer skills Ability to obtain and/or maintain appropriate licenses, training, or certifications as required Responsibilities: Operate forklifts, conveyors, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials and finished products Maintain records as required Complete routine warehouse tasks using prescribed procedures Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality guidelines Apply basic operational knowledge to material handling and warehouse processes Perform duties under general to limited supervision Physical Requirements & Work Environment: Ability to lift and/or move over 50 lbs Regular walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, balancing, climbing, lifting, crouching, reaching, pulling, pushing, grasping, twisting, talking, and hearing Frequent use of hands for handling, picking, typing, and repetitive wrist and finger movements Exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, and extreme weather conditions Occasional exposure to high, precarious places and fumes/airborne particles Hot work environment during summer months (no air conditioning) Cold work environment during winter months (limited heating) Moderate to loud noise level
