WAREHOUSE OPERATOR - FORKLIFT | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:

• Location: Covington GA 30014 – 100% on-site
  • Must be able to work between Covington and Madison plants as needed.
• Payrate: $19.50/hr
• Required Availability: Full-Time | Friday-Sunday 5:00 AM to 5:30 PM (36 hours per week)

WAREHOUSE OPERATOR - FORKLIFT | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:

The Warehouse Operator - Forklift will be responsible for unloading inbound shipments, operating forklifts, and maintaining accurate inventory records. This role is critical in ensuring medical materials are properly received, verified, and prepared for sterilization processes.

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

WAREHOUSE OPERATOR - FORKLIFT | RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inbound Operations: Unload inbound trucks, verify catalog/lot numbers and quantities, and stack boxes onto specific pallet patterns.
• Equipment Operation: Drive forklifts (specifically stand-up fork trucks) and utilize manual/automatic hand trucks to locate pallets into racks.
• Sterilization Support: Assemble and build sterilization loads according to diagrams; place Biological Indicators (spores) into loads and initiate documentation.
• Inventory Management: Utilize handheld scanners and inventory control systems (JD Edwards) to receive and track products.
• Safety & Compliance: Exercise safe lifting techniques; maintain a work area that meets Quality System Regulations (QSR).
• Flexibility: Serve as a "floater" between our Covington and Madison facilities as needed.

WAREHOUSE OPERATOR - FORKLIFT | REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable)
• Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
• 2+ years of experience operating material handling equipment, with a strong preference for stand-up fork truck
• Must be certified to operate a forklift and pass a Lift Drivers Test.
• Ability to read and interpret distribution documents and operational specifications.
• Basic mathematical skills for inventory computations.
• Strong logic and reasoning for problem-solving.
• Effective oral and written communication in English.

Physical Requirements & Environment

• Physical Demands: Must be able to lift and move up to 30 lbs, bend, pull, and stand for prolonged periods.
• Environment: Work may occur in hot/humid locations, near moving mechanical parts, or in areas with loud noise and chemicals/gases associated with sterilization.
• Compliance: Role may require proof of COVID-19 vaccination or adherence to location-specific testing protocols.
