Warehouse Operator

Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Required Experience: Zero to one year warehouse experience or related experience and or training

Ability to operate forklifts conveyors cranes handcarts and power trucks

Ability to follow quality guidelines

Tech Skills:

• General computer skills
• Ability to read write interpret and comprehend documents written in English
• Ability to perform basic math calculations
• Basic skills training in an analytical scientific method or operational process area such as material handling and management logistics or manufacturing production
• Ability to work within standard operating procedures and scientific methods

Ability to perform and operate in a metrics driven environment

Soft Skills:

• Effective communication skills at a level coworkers and Team Lead or Supervisor can understand
• Ability to work under general to limited supervision
• Ability to complete routine tasks consisting of prescribed steps
• Ability to develop skills in basic tasks techniques and procedures within one skill area process or method
• Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate licenses training and certifications as needed

Responsibilities:

• Use a variety of equipment such as forklifts conveyors cranes handcarts and power trucks to move materials parts assemblies and finished products or goods within a plant office or warehouse
• Maintain records as needed
• Develop skills in basic tasks techniques and procedures within one skill area process or method
• Apply basic knowledge and skills to complete routine tasks consisting of prescribed steps
• Work within clearly defined standard operating procedures and scientific methods
• Adhere to quality guidelines
• Obtain and maintain appropriate licenses training and certifications as needed
• Support material handling and management logistics and manufacturing production activities

Physical Demands:

• Regularly perform walking standing stooping kneeling balancing climbing lifting, crouching reaching pulling pushing grasping talking hearing and twisting
• Frequently use hands to finger handle feel pick or type which can include repetitive motion of the wrists hands or fingers
• Lift and or move over 50 pounds
• Work near moving mechanical parts
• Work in extreme weather conditions and vibration
• Occasionally work in high precarious places and areas with fumes or airborne particles
• Work in hot conditions during summer months with no air conditioning
• Work in cold conditions during winter months with limited heating
• Work in a moderate to loud noise environment
