Warehouse Operator
Position Summary
The Warehouse Operator is responsible for the accurate receipt, storage, inventory, labeling, and shipment of raw materials and finished goods. This role ensures inventory accuracy, maintains required documentation, and supports food safety, quality, and efficient warehouse operations.
Essential Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory records using System 21.
- Receive, inspect, store, and ship products while verifying Bills of Lading (BOL), Certificates of Analysis (COA), and related documentation.
- Complete required shipping, receiving, inventory, truck inspection, and inventory movement records.
- Properly label, store, and organize materials by lot, product, and customer requirements.
- Produce and maintain product labels using Label View software.
- Perform cycle counts, inventory adjustments, and assist with monthly and annual inventories.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate product shortages, held inventory, and supply needs to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Complete daily sanitation tasks and maintain warehouse organization.
- Follow warehouse procedures for inspections, receiving, damaged freight reporting, and inventory recordkeeping.
Qualifications
Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
- 1–2 years of manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills.
- Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and production equipment. Frequent standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching are required.
Additional Responsibilities
- Follow all food safety, quality, SQF, and workplace safety requirements.
- Serve as a trained backup for other employees as needed.
- Read and follow operating procedures and safety guidelines.
- Report process deviations, food safety concerns, or equipment issues promptly.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
