Essential Functions: Warehouse Associate, essential functions include receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming shipments while ensuring accuracy and quality standards are met. The Warehouse Associate is required to maintain organized storage areas, conduct regular inventory counts, and update records in inventory management systems. Adherence to safety protocols, cleanliness standards, and company policies is critical, along with the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities/Skills/Abilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and store incoming shipments accurately and efficiently. *
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring timely and accurate delivery. *
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely. *
  • Load and unload trucks, verifying shipment contents and inspecting damages. *
  • Maintain organized storage areas and inventory records in warehouse management systems.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and quality procedures. *
  • Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
  • Assist in warehouse cleanup and organization to maintain a safe work environment. *
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and meet productivity goals.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and workplace safety standards.
  • Maintain focus and productivity in a fast-paced setting.

Work Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 months to 2 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or distribution center environments.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment (certification preferred but not required).
  • Hands-on experience with inventory tracking systems, order picking, packing, and shipping processes.
  • Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures, including labeling, documentation, and inspection for quality assurance.
  • Familiarity with OSHA standards, workplace safety protocols, and hazardous material handling procedures.

Education/Knowledge Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • Forklift Certification or the ability to obtain certification within a specified timeframe (preferred).

Reports To:Warehouse Manager

Supervisory responsibilities: None

Backup: Warehouse Associate, CDL/Warehouse Operator

Physical Requirements:

  • Experience performing physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy materials (up to 50 lbs.), standing, and moving for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment on concrete flooring and in varying temperatures.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays depending on the needs of the customer.

Work environment/Hours:

  • Climate Controlled (68-72 F) year round
  • Ability to operate forklift & pallet jacks,
  • Equipment type: scales, blenders, metal detection, and other manufacturing equipment
  • Must be able to lift 55lbs or greater
  • Must be able to stand/climb ladders
  • Full-time. Typically, day shift position, but hours may vary based on production schedule. Monday-Friday with occasional overtime in the evenings and at weekends.
