Responsible for accurately selecting, packing, and preparing customer orders for shipment. The Order Picker works closely with other team members to maintain an organized and efficient workflow. They are required to have a strong understanding of their lift, the loads they are carrying, productivity measures, and safety procedures. This role may also serve as a point of contact for newer team members and support special order fulfillment requests.

Must be able to operate forklift, pallet jack, and reach machine become a certified operator.
Experience:
Warehouse/Operations preferred but not required
1-2 years previous experience in a warehouse setting preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Familiarity with products (quality expectations, varieties, case packs) preferred.
Understanding of Safety guidelines
Strong knowledge of RF systems.
Operates forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks, and pallet jacks etc.).
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Good organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Sense of urgency with ability to work well under pressure.
Able to work effectively in a fast paced, team-oriented environment.
Able to be flexible regarding tasks and work a flexible schedule as needed.

Onsite Role:
This position requires the associate to perform all duties at one of our UNFI locations, such as a distribution center or office.
Travel (minor):
This position may require the associate to travel to company offices, distribution centers, or other locations for specific meetings or other business reasons.
Physical Environment/Demands:
Warehouse Roles:
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently.
Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Perishable Operation and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Grocery Operation.
Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist, and hand movements required for maintenance and service procedures.
Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment.
Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination, and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties. Ability to operate work-related equipment.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Woodstock Farms: Ability to work in an environment containing tree nuts, peanuts, soy, wheat, sesame, milk and different spices like pepper, chili, etc.
