Job Summary:

The Warehouse Worker in a food manufacturing facility is responsible for receiving, storing, organizing, and distributing raw materials and finished food products while following food safety and sanitation standards. This role supports production operations by maintaining accurate inventory, ensuring timely material handling, and complying with company and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Receive and inspect incoming ingredients, packaging materials, and supplies
  •  Store products properly according to food safety and temperature requirements
  •  Pick, pack, label, and prepare orders for shipment
  •  Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
  •  Supply production lines with required materials and packaging
  •  Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and scanners
  •  Maintain accurate inventory records and complete warehouse documentation
  •  Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory procedures
  •  Keep warehouse areas clean, organized, and compliant with sanitation standards
  •  Follow all food safety, HACCP, GMP, OSHA, and company safety regulations
  •  Report damaged products, shortages, or safety concerns to supervisors

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  •  High school diploma or GED preferred
  •  Previous warehouse or food manufacturing experience preferred
  •  Forklift certification is a plus
  •  Basic computer and inventory tracking skills
  •  Problem-solving, strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English) 

 

Physical Requirements:

  •  Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  •  Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods
  •  Must be able to stretch, bend, squat, reach, Etc.
  •  Repetitive hand motion
  •  Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  •  Teamwork and communication skills
  •  Time management and reliability
  •  Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment

 

Working Conditions:

  • Manufacturing and warehouse environment
  • Ability to work in cold, refrigerated, or freezer environments if required
  • Exposure to varying temperatures, including refrigerated areas
  • Requires standing, lifting, bending, and repetitive movement
  • May involve overtime, weekends, or rotating shifts

 

Education:

  • High School Degree or GED preferred

 

Compensation:

  • Salary: $17.25/ hr.
