Our client is hiring Warehouse Order Selectors for temp-to-hire opportunities at a busy distribution center in Wells, Maine.
 
This is an excellent opportunity for dependable, hardworking individuals who are comfortable in a physically demanding warehouse environment and interested in earning a potential full-time position. New hires participate in a 17-week structured training and evaluation period, with the opportunity to be considered for conversion to full-time employment based on successful performance.
 
Training is available in both English and Spanish, and bilingual English/Spanish candidates are encouraged to apply.
 
Work Schedule
The shift runs from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Your schedule will be determined based on the week you start and will follow one of these schedules:
   Schedule 1: Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
   OR
   Schedule 2: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
During training, overtime is optional. Following conversion to full-time employment, overtime opportunities are based on seniority.
   Paid Lunch: 11:15 AM to 11:45 AM
   Break: 8:45 AM to 9:00 AM
 
What You'll Do

• Use a voice-controlled order selection system to accurately select full-case grocery, frozen, and other perishable products.
• Wear a headset throughout the shift to receive and complete order selection assignments.
• Operate a ride-on electric pallet jack while selecting products throughout the distribution center.
• Palletize cases accurately and prepare completed pallets for shipment to local stores.
• Maintain productivity, accuracy, and safety standards throughout the shift.
• Follow all warehouse safety procedures, equipment requirements, and training instructions.
• Obtain required clearance to operate an electric pallet jack and other warehouse equipment as needed.

 
Physical Requirements, Please Read Carefully
This is a highly physical warehouse position. Candidates should understand the requirements before applying.
 
Workers must be able to:

• Individually lift and move products weighing up to 60 pounds throughout the entire shift.
• Lift products weighing up to 60 pounds to shoulder level.
• Lift products weighing up to 60 pounds overhead.
• Repeatedly select, lift, move, stack, and palletize full cases of products.
• Safely perform physically demanding warehouse duties for the duration of the shift.
• Operate or obtain clearance to operate powered warehouse equipment.

 
What We're Looking For
Successful candidates will demonstrate:

• Excellent reliability and consistent attendance.
• Ability to work the assigned five-day schedule, including weekends.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of a fast-paced distribution center.
• Willingness and ability to learn voice-directed order selection and electric pallet jack operation.
• Ability to understand and follow all required safety procedures and training instructions.
• Eligibility to work without employment duration limitations.

 
Dress Code & Safety Equipment
Safety shoes are required beginning on Day 1.

• Please note that closed-toe, slip-resistant shoes are not the same as required safety shoes.
• Employees must dress appropriately for the warehouse environment and comply with all site safety requirements.
