Warehouse Package Handler

A well-established Houston-area manufacturing company is seeking a Warehouse Package Handler to join the team. This is a temporary assignment (up to 6 months) supporting shipping and various warehouse functions on-site. The Warehouse Package Handler is responsible for packaging outbound shipments, generating packing documentation, and performing general warehouse duties to keep operations running efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Generate packing lists and work orders.
• Inspect and pack company-made products.
• Perform accurate packaging for outbound shipment of goods to end users.
• Assist in preparation of export documents for third-party vendors. Make necessary changes if specifications change.
• Perform picking and kitting of parts to support Production departments.
• Assist in daily cycle counts as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized warehouse.
• Operate the modular through storing parts.
• Operate forklift as needed.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum one year of experience operating a floor lift in a warehouse environment
• Basic knowledge of MS Office: Excel, Word, Outlook
• Excellent teamwork skills
• Detail oriented with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to perform numerical calculations such as add, subtract, multiply, and divide
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to operate forklift and floor jack
• Ability to physically lift up to 45 lbs. occasionally and up to 20 lbs. frequently
