Position Details: 
 
Location: Rochester, NY
Hours: 7am-3:30pm, Mon-Fri (some overtime possible)
Pay: $19.00/hr.
Duration: One year contract position with an opportunity of being temp to hire.
 
Who We're Looking For: 
 
Candidates with the ability to build noncomplex optical / electrical / mechanical sub-assemblies within quality requirements. This person should be reliable and detail oriented. 
 
What to Expect as a Project Assembler: 
 
Primary job duties:
 
Show up on time Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm.
Good interpersonal and communication skills showing great character and respect towards all.
Comprehend and follow verbal and/or written work instructions and procedures.
Manual activities for light manufacturing while assembling medical kits.
Always be safety conscious. 
Use steel toe safety shoes while performing job.
 
Secondary job duties:
 
* Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
* Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
* Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
* Dispose of damaged or defective items or return them to vendors.
 
 
Qualifications for Success: 
 
  • HS Diploma or GED/HSE or 2+ years of Manufacturing/Assembly experience
  • Must be able to successfully pass a drug test and background check prior to starting work.
  • Show up on time Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm. Reliable transportation no excuses. 
  • Respectful always. No swearing at all. Great communication skills.
  • Attention to detail work well under pressure.
  • Basic math skills. If the order is 8, it means 8, not 10. Basic counting perfection.
  • Must be able to do repetitive motion and physical requirements.
  • Multitasker
  • Fork truck is nice to have but not required.

  • Must be able to do repetitive motion and physical requirements.
  • Standing 75-100%,
  • Sitting 0-25%,
  • Lifting up to 50 LBS maybe 1 to 25%,
  • Wrist movements 75-100%
  • Use steel toe safety shoes while performing job.
