This is a safety-sensitive job for purposes of the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Amendment.Purpose: To ensure the efficient and economical utilization of the warehouse facilities for purchasing, receiving, storing and distributions of supplies and materials. Must maintain an organized and efficient operation for the processing of materials.Responsibilities:Within the limits of approved board policies, operating guidelines and procedures, approved work plans and budgets, and specific delegation from the Director of Purchasing and Warehouse Services, the Warehouse Person II assumes the responsibility of this position for developing and maintaining a favorable Cooperative image consistent with the Cooperative's Strategic Goals: As a Warehouse Person II:Must fulfill all duties required for the Warehouse Person I.Provides materials for work orders in a correct manner, while achieving a 96% plus accurate inventory.Assists in keeping storeroom and adjacent yard orderly, clean, safe and in good physical condition.Maintains proper inventory levels for items required on a continuing basis, both inside and outside the warehouse at all locations.Issues materials and equipment, completing required paperwork.Returns material to stock and processes retired material.Accepts and receives shipments and deliveries and puts into stock.Prepares material for distribution by assembling and boxing.Operates forklift to load and unload heavy material.Keeps material stored safely and efficiently.Delivers materials to outside warehouse at all locationsReceiving inventory into computer software for payment through A/P.Learn and conduct cycle counts at all warehouse locations.Performs other activities and duties as required.Other Skills and Abilities: Skills:Must learn RUS Construction Units.Must have legible handwriting.Must comply with all general job requirements.Excellent organization Skills Abilities:Must be able to lift and carry moderately heavy items and learn to safely operate forklift.Ability to learn to read staking sheets and understand inventory control, along with storage principles.Must be able to develop a thorough knowledge of the tools, equipment, supplies, hardware, and apparatus required for electric distribution and transmission construction, maintenance, and service.This position requires the knowledge of a high level of computer literacy and software systems.Must be self-motivated with the ability to perform under minimal supervision.Must have sufficient physical health to perform the essential functions, duties, and responsibilities of the job.Must hold a valid Arkansas driver's license with Class A CDL.Must be available for call outs and willing to work extra and irregular hours.Working Conditions: Employee required to work indoors and outdoors with exposure to heat and cold.Normal working hours will be scheduled by department supervisor. This position may be required to work scheduled shifts and some overtime when required and approved by the supervisor.Education and/or Experience:This job requires reading, writing and mathematics; therefore, a high school diploma or the equivalent is preferred but not required.Must have experience in related classification, having full knowledge of storing and distribution of material and supplies.
