Warehouse Picker I

The Warehouse Picker I is responsible for accurately selecting, staging, and preparing products for shipment in a cold or freezer warehouse environment. This role ensures that orders are fulfilled in a timely, safe, and efficient manner while maintaining product integrity and adhering to company quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Order Picking & Staging
• • Accurately pick products according to customer orders using handheld scanners or pick sheets
  • Stage and prepare picked orders for shipping and delivery
  • Verify product codes, quantities, and lot numbers to ensure accuracy
• Cold/Freezer Environment Operations
• • Work in environments ranging from refrigerated to freezer
  • Follow all safety and PPE requirements
  • Safely operate equipment including but not limited to pallet jack, forklift, and reach truck (if and only when certified)
• Inventory & Quality Control
• • Assist in cycle counts, stock rotation, and maintaining accurate inventory records
  • Report damaged, expired, or incorrect products to supervisors
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of picking areas
• Safety & Compliance
• • Adhere to company safety policies and OSHA guidelines
  • Use appropriate techniques and safe material handling practices
  • Follow all food safety and handling protocols
• Other Duties as Assigned

Required Key Skills and Qualifications

• Previous warehouse or order-picking experience is a plus
• Experience working in cold/freezer environments is highly desirable
• Ability to read and interpret order sheets, labels, and barcodes
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work in cold/freezing conditions for extended periods
• Basic math skills for order verification
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks safely
