Warehouse Picker

JOB DUTIES:

• Ensure proper rotation of all products in pick area
• Securely and safely shrink-wrap items
• Keep pick area clean and organized at all times
• Move pallets around storage facility
• Load delivery vehicles if needed
• Assist in managing stock control, including item replenishment and storage
• Read and follow instructions
• Follow company policies and procedures in regard to product freshness and rotation
• Attend team and branch meetings as required
• Keep breakage room clean and organized
• Maintain and service forklift batteries
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
• Ability to safely operate fork trucks and warehouse equipment
• Maintain OSHA Certification for electric jacks and fork trucks
• Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience operating forklifts and warehouse equipment
• If not forklift certified they must successfully complete certification in-house
• Team work experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICTIONS:

• Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner
• Forklift certification per OSHA standards

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to move products weighing up to 165 lbs.
• Hang merchandise as needed
• Repetitive lifting, up to 50 lbs. overhead
• Bending, pulling/pushing up to 340 pounds on a two-wheeler
• Ability to continuously stand or walk
• Ability to bend and occasionally squat
• Repetitive carrying and reaching

Responsible for reading incoming orders and selecting the correct items from the warehouse shelves before staging them for delivery. Their duties include operating forklifts and other heavy machinery, updating inventory counts and counting out the appropriate number of goods to fulfill and order.
