Position: Material Handler Shipping
Schedule: MondayFriday, 6:00 AM 2:30 PM
Overtime Required: Must be able to work up to 4:30 PM (4060 hours/week as needed)INCLUDING SATURDAYS
Requirements: Background Check, Drug Screen, Steel Toe Boots Required
$15 PER HOUR Average $500-$900+ per week
JOB SUMMARY:
The Material Handler Shipping supports daily warehouse operations by moving, preparing, and staging materials for outgoing shipments. This role focuses on accuracy, efficiency, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse and shipping areas
Prepare orders for shipment including palletizing, wrapping, labeling, and staging
Move materials to and from storage, production, and shipping areas by hand or with basic equipment
Verify quantities and inspect materials for damage prior to shipment
Read work orders and shipping documents to determine assignments
Record quantities of materials handled using production sheets or work tickets
Secure shipments using strapping, shrink wrap, or other protective materials
Assist with loading trucks and ensuring orders are accurate and complete
Maintain clean and organized work areas
Follow all safety guidelines and company procedures
Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED preferred
Previous warehouse, shipping, or material handling experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and reliability
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Push/pull up to 150 lbs as needed
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout shift
